Where are we?

Cygnet Appletree is located behind Meadowfield’s High Street. Turn off the High Street, go past the British Legion Club on your right and turn left down the drive, after the speed bump in the road. There is a car park at the bottom of the drive.

Directions by car

From the South
Leave the A1(M) at Junction 60, at roundabout, take the first exit to A689. At the next roundabout, take the fourth exit onto A167. At the next roundabout, take the third exit and stay on A167. At Thinford roundabout, take the third exit and stay on A167. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto A167. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Browney Lane/B6300 and follow this road, turning right at the T junction. Continue down the high street and turn left just before the traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing. After the speed bump, turn left down the drive to Appletree.

From the North
Leave the A1(M) at Junction 63, take the A693/A167 exit to Stanley/Chester-Le-Street. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A167. At the next Roundabout, take the first exit onto Park Road N/A167. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Park Road S/A167. Continue onto A167. At the next two roundabouts, take the first exit to stay on A167. At the next roundabout take the third exit to stay on A167. At the next roundabout take the first exit to stay on A167. Take the third exit to stay on A167. Turn right onto Neville’s Cross Bank A690 and go straight ahead at the traffic lights. At the next roundabout, take the first exit and stay on A690. Continue straight on, passing Lidl on your left and Leisure Centre on your right. Turn right, just after the lighted pedestrian crossing. After the speed bump, turn left down the drive to Appletree.

The nearest railway station is Durham, which is 10-15 minutes away from Appletree.
