At Clynsaer, we support people to develop the confidence, independence and life skills they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives through person-centred support, therapeutic activities and meaningful opportunities both at home and in the community.
Life at Clynsaer
Our person-centred approach helps residents develop independence, confidence and life skills. The home has a dedicated activity centre converted from a former stables. A wide range of activities, including weekly music therapy, baking, arts and crafts, sensory sessions and community outings, encourages engagement and wellbeing. Residents can also enjoy the beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces, including an on-site polytunnel where flowers, fruit and vegetables are grown.
Opportunities for work experience help individuals build confidence, develop practical skills and increase independence. Frank, our friendly service dog, is also a much-loved part of the Clynsaer community, bringing companionship and enjoyment to residents and staff alike.
The people we support:
- Adults from the age of 18+ years
- Individuals with a primary diagnosis of learning disability or mental health accompanied with behaviours that challenge
- Individuals with a secondary diagnosis of personality disorder or autism
- May have communication challenges
- May have associated complex needs
Supporting independence and wellbeing
Residents are encouraged to pursue their interests, take an active role in daily life and work towards personal goals that enhance their quality of life.
Through community outings, work experience placements and tailored activities, individuals are supported to build social connections, develop new skills and enhance their wellbeing.
Access to specialist community healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry, helps ensure support is tailored to each person’s needs.
We also recognise the importance of maintaining strong relationships with family and friends and support individuals to stay connected with loved ones through regular contact, visits and home leave where appropriate.

Recognised by the people who matter most

Chosen by those who know the service best, the award is a testament to the dedication, kindness and positive impact of the team, who are creating a supportive environment where people can develop confidence, independence and a fulfilling quality of life.
