Over the years, Sharon has been lucky enough to take on new challenges and progress through different roles, and in October 2025, she was truly honoured to be offered the role of Deputy Manager.

In a safe and supportive environment, Vicky encourages people to explore self-expression, build social skills, and embrace teamwork.

Vicky believes in the transformative power of the performing arts to boost self-esteem and confidence—helping individuals grow not only as performers, but as people.

Jane Telling – Art Instructor

Jane has had the pleasure of working at Boradoak for the past 24 years in the role of Art Instructor. The Art Room offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere where She aims to inspire every individual—whether through personal art styles or collaborative group projects.

A strong emphasis is placed on enabling expression and communication through art. Jane tailors materials and activities to meet each person’s specific needs, offering a wide range of mediums including painting, sketching, wire and clay sculpture, murals, sewing, mosaics, and papier-mâché. The people we support are encouraged to build on existing skills through repetition, practice, and memory recall.

Jane also leads many seasonal group projects that give participants a wonderful sense of accomplishment and help to build self-confidence. These collective pieces of art promote teamwork and shared experiences with friends—benefits that extend far beyond the Art Room and enrich many aspects of life.
