Our care plan is delivered in a culture that balances risk management with therapeutic optimism, where individuals have the opportunity to engage in a recovery programme within a completely safe environment.
We encourage individuals to set their own recovery goals and work collaboratively to achieve success. We provide a variety of structured activities, which are led by a wide range of experienced, multi-disciplinary professionals. These include mental health nurses, clinical and forensic psychologists, substance misuse workers, occupational therapists, social workers, associate specialists and psychiatrists.
Psychological Therapy
Our psychologists will work with you to understand the challenges you’re facing and what might be contributing to them. This may include exploring your thoughts, emotions, past experiences, and how you respond to difficult situations. The insights from these sessions are shared with you and your care team, helping to create a clear plan that’s tailored to your needs.
Together, you and your psychologist will agree on goals for your therapy. These goals guide the support you’ll receive, which may include learning new ways to manage anger, cope with distressing thoughts, build emotional resilience, or process past trauma. Therapy can take place one-to-one or in a group setting, depending on what feels right for you.
Your progress will be reviewed regularly to make sure the support continues to meet your needs and helps you move forward on your recovery journey.
Group Therapy
Group therapy often plays a central role in our inpatient treatment approach and encourages individuals to explore their thoughts and behaviours in a supportive environment, helping them gain insight into how they relate to themselves and others. Through this process, individuals being supported can develop healthier coping strategies and new perspectives that support long-term recovery.
Depending on the nature of your treatment, you may take part in a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), skills-based workshops, psychoeducation sessions, and wellbeing-focused activities through our team of Occupational Therapists.
Length of Stay
The duration of your treatment may vary depending on your own needs and circumstances. Your condition, your recovery goals, considerations such as family commitments and personal finances can all play a part in determining how long you stay in hospital.
