Staff wellbeing and appreciation days at Cygnet Hospital Clifton

Cygnet Hospital Clifton have recently held a number of wellbeing days for staff.

Stacey Antoine-Fontenelle, Administration Manager, explains why the staff wellbeing days are so important.

“Our recent Staff Wellbeing Days were a wonderful reminder of the power of connection, teamwork and laughter in building a positive workplace culture. The days brought colleagues together in a relaxed environment, offering space to recharge, share in light-hearted activities and strengthen team bonds. From collaborative puzzles to fun interactive challenges, the room was filled with lots of laughter, friendly competition and moments of genuine joy. The events went beyond board games, they created opportunities for staff to step away from the pressures if their roles, enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the sense of community that makes Cygnet Hospital Clifton special. The smiles’ teamwork and encouragement shared throughout the days reflected the compassion and dedication our staff bring not only to their work, but to one another.

“Wellbeing days like these are an important part of our commitment to staff support, reminding us that when we take care of our teams, we take care of the people who rely on us.”

Stacey had a special word for the support workers at the hospital, “I just want to take a moment to celebrate our fabulous support workers. You are the glue that holds our unit together, though let’s be honest some days it feels more like superglue!

“You show up with strength, patience and a whole lot of heart, even when the days are long and the challenges keep coming. You bring compassion, humour and resilience; and somehow still manage to keep your sanity (most of the time).

“The truth is, Cygnet Hospital Clifton wouldn’t shine without you. You’re not just support workers, you’re life-changers, difference-makers and sometimes miracle-workers. So today, we see you, we thank you, and we hope you feel as appreciated as you truly are. Here’s to you, the real MVP’s of Clifton!”
