Cygnet Sherwood Lodge Visit RAF Donna Nook Nature Reserve
Cygnet Sherwood Lodge recently took a memorable trip to RAF Donna Nook National Nature Reserve to witness the spectacular annual arrival of grey seals.
Each November and December, this stretch of coastline, which covers more than 10km between Grain Thorpe Haven and Saltfleet, becomes a crucial breeding ground. Grey seals flock here to give birth to their pups near the sand dunes, creating a unique wildlife spectacle that draws visitors from across the UK.
Despite the very cold weather, all the residents thoroughly enjoyed seeing the hundreds of seals and their fluffy white pups in their natural habitat. To warm up and conclude a wonderful day out, the group travelled to Mablethorpe to enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local fish and chip shop.
