Cygnet Sherwood Lodge go for a tour in the Peak District

Last weekend service users and staff from Cygnet Sherwood Lodge enjoyed an open top bus tour through the Peak District National Park. The bus is called the Peak Sightseer.

From the available options they chose the blue route which starts at Chatsworth House and finishes at the Blue John Cavern at the bottom of Mam Tor and Winnats pass.

Bethanie Taylor, Activity Coordinator, said: “The views were incredible, the tour was thoroughly enjoyed by all and everyone has requested to go again but on the red route to explore more parts of the Peak District.

“The route took us through places such as Bamford, Grindleford, Baslow, Padley Gorge and then we hopped off at Castleton. We enjoyed lunch from the bakery in the village and then walked to the Peak Cavern cave nicked name the “The Devils Arse”. The bus ticket lets you hop and off all day and we highly recommend the trip.”
