Cygnet Sherwood House supporting careers in mental health
Eve said: “We shared our career journeys with students, including what drew us to this field and the aspects of the work that continue to challenge and reward us. It was an excellent opportunity to reflect with other panel members on these topics.
“We spoke a lot about the skills that have mattered most along the way – empathy, resilience, reflection, and communication, and how these develop over time, through experience, support, and learning. At Cygnet, I’ve seen how these skills are strengthened through supervision, training, and being part of supportive teams.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to reflect on my own journey and to be part of conversations that support others as they begin theirs. Thank you to NTU for the invitation.”
