Cygnet Maple House’s Camping Trip
Two individuals supported at Cygnet Maple House enjoyed a camping weekend in Skegness with Activity Coordinator Nicky.
Despite autumn weather and none of the group having pitched a tent before, they successfully set up camp and spent the weekend enjoying card games, a beach walk, fish and chips, and making lasting memories together.
Service user Carrie reflected on the experience: “I not only learned how to put a tent up but also how to set up the electrics and how to enjoy myself without the distraction of a television. The whole weekend was one laugh after another.”
The trip highlighted how community outings provide opportunities for skill development, independence and meaningful shared experiences.
