Cygnet Lodge Delfryn’s charity walk on Moel Famau

Staff and service users from Cygnet Lodge Delfryn in Mold braved the heat to climb up Moel Famau, the highest point in the nearby Clywdian Hills, to raise money for charity.

They undertook the walk to raise money for a local man whose life has been effected by a recent diagnosis of motor neurone disease. Everyone made it to the top and back down again, despite the hot weather.

Joe Morgan, Activity Coordinator, said: “The day was brilliant with everyone expressing how much they loved the challenge and they felt a sense of achievement. Everyone who took part worked really hard to get to the top and they got sponsors from friends, family and staff. They enjoyed a cold drink at Starbucks at the end. We have raised a massive £400 for Dean to support him and his family during this difficult time. Thank you too everyone who sponsored and those who took part. Much appreciated.”
