Cygnet Hospital Colchester’s football themed Summer Fete
Following the success of last year’s event Cygnet Hospital Colchester recently held their second Summer Fete. This year’s event, inspired by Euro 2024 had a football theme.
There were many activities for service users and staff to take part in. These included; guess the name of the football, a cake stand, guess the number of sweets in the tub, a tombola full of prizes and a much loved ice cream van.
Emmanuel Ozowara, Head of Occupational Therapy, said: “We brought back beat the goalie, that saw one of our Oak Court patients not only make posters for the stall but be the goalie too. One of the patients from Ramsey Unit also made bracelets for prizes as part of our hoopla game.”
“Our kitchen staff put on a magnificent BBQ of burgers, sausages, salad chicken and more. They certainly made sure no one went hungry.
“We had great attendance from patients, staff, carers and others and the event was enjoyed by all.”
