Cygnet Aspen House’s Autism Awareness Month
The Occupational Therapy team at Cygnet Aspen House recently held a fundraiser in support of Autism Awareness Month, raising an impressive £530.64.
The event featured a wide range of engaging games and activities, including a quiz, party games, a cake sale, a tombola, pass the parcel, and more.
As part of the day, the therapy team put together a selection of sensory toys and fidgets to create a “sensory lucky dip.” Patients enjoyed this activity and were able to add their chosen items to the self-soothe boxes they had created in previous sessions.
Both patients and staff chose to wear bright, rainbow coloured clothing, with many also taking part in face painting.
It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, bringing people together to have fun while raising awareness of Autism.
