Cygnet Alders Clinic hold their first Christmas Market to raise money for charity
On the 6th of December, Cygnet Alders Clinic held its first Christmas Market to help raise money for the service user’s chosen charity ‘Mind’, which works to improve the lives of people with mental health problems.
Service users have worked towards the event for many months, creating jewellery, crochet, artwork, sewing projects, needle felt, beauty products, baked items and more to be sold.
The market provided an opportunity to showcase the service user’s talents and share the value of Occupational Therapy with the wider team and families.
Dulcie, the Lead Occupational Therapist at Cygnet Alders Clinic said: ‘In total, £351 was raised for Mind. We are already planning our next market for Spring. I am feeling incredibly proud and there were lots of smiles and laughter, community and belonging’.
