Cygnet Acer Clinic celebrate African World Heritage Day
To celebrate African World Heritage Day, the team and patients at Cygnet Acer Clinic were invited to wear traditional African clothing and bright colours, and there were lots of fun and educational activities throughout the afternoon.
There was an African themed menu and some of the staff also brought in African dishes they had prepared for everyone to try – including goat curry, Jollof rice, plaintain and meat pies. One of the team gave a presentation to colleagues and patients about the diversity of the African continent, it’s many different countries and languages. This included information about African traditional clothing, culture and Afrobeat music, and everyone was encouraged to dance along! There was also face painting, arts and crafts and African themed quizzes.
