Cherry Tree House and Pines Bake Off for Cancer Charity
The Cygnet Social Care services in Mansfield Woodhouse recently hosted their annual Macmillan fundraiser with a bake sale, raising nearly £250.
Throughout the day, staff at Cherry Tree House and Pines whisked up a variety of sweet treats to sell before taking part in a bingo and a raffle, alongside residents, which helped keep the fundraising momentum going.
Sharon Wilson, Administrator at the two Cygnet Social Care services, highlighted the success of the fundraiser.
She said: “This is the fourth year we have hosted a Macmillan fundraiser and the generosity of our staff and resident never fails to amaze me. We wanted to fundraise for Macmillan in honour of all of our loved ones who are fighting cancer and to those that we have lost.
“Once again, we are so proud of our two services. The money we raised will be going straight to this amazing charity.”
