Akano goes horse riding
Yesterday the team at Cygnet Sherwood Lodge supported a service user, Akano, to enjoy an activity he has not done since he was a child – horse riding!
They visited Derbyshire Pony Trekking Centre, where Akano got to ride a lovely horse named Baloo and Activity Co-ordinator Beth Taylor (a keen equestrian herself) got to ride a horse called Heidi.
The team at Derbyshire Pony Trekking Centre were very welcoming and supportive with Akano and spent time teaching him the basics so he could thoroughly enjoy the trek through the autumnal woods.
