Fundraising fun at Cygnet Hospital Colchester
To mark World Mental Health Day, staff and service users at Cygnet Hospital Colchester took part in 10 days of fundraising for the charity Mind, raising £175 through fun and active challenges.
From a bake-off challenge to an ice-bucket plunge, the team was all-in for the fundraising efforts. Staff took on fitness goals, including 5km runs, table tennis tournaments and daily step challenges – all aimed at promoting wellness and smashing stigma. A special and lively dance class was also hosted by David Lloyd Colchester.
“It was a great way to raise awareness and give back to a charity that means a lot to us,” said Lynn McGhee, Hospital Manager.
“Everyone got involved and had fun while promoting mental health and wellbeing,” added Emmanuel Ozowara, Head of Occupational Therapy.
