Registration is now open for the Cygnet Annual Psychology Conference and Awards Ceremony 2023, which is taking place on Wednesday 19th April 2023 from 09:30 until 16:30.

The conference will take place virtually and is open to psychologists and other staff from Cygnet and across the NHS, public and independent sectors. The event is free of charge and CPD accredited. The full programme is available to download below.

This year’s event will focus on sharing innovations in psychology, and features both Cygnet and external speakers. There will be presentations, the opportunity to participate in workshops and network with your peers.

Following the presentations will be the annual awards ceremony, recognising excellence in psychology across the country. The categories this year are:

  • Psychologist of the Year
  • Assistant Psychologist of the Year
  • Allied Health Professional of the Year
  • Researcher of the Year

Our keynote speakers :

Dr Katherine Carpenter – Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist

Katherine is a consultant clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with a 30 year track record within the NHS in acute neurosciences, which combined clinical work, teaching and training, and research, together with a wide clinical leadership and management remit.

 

Dr Sam Warner – Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Sam is a chartered and consultant clinical psychologist and she holds an honorary lectureship in the school of health and society at Salford University, UK. Sam works as a consultant, expert witness, psychotherapist, public speaker, strategic adviser, trainer, writer and academic.

 

 

Dr Chris Irons – Co-director of Balanced Minds

Chris is a clinical psychologist, researcher, writer and trainer specialising in Compassion Focused Therapy. He is co-director of Balanced Minds, a London based organisation providing compassion-focused psychological interventions for individuals and organisations. He is also co-director of BalO, a company focusing on bringing greater compassion and balance to all levels of organisations.
