The Thistle House team have been getting creative to keep the activity timetable exciting for the residents at the service. Under the Covid restrictions they’ve been unable to do some of the community activities that they would usually be doing, and so the team have come up with some site based fun instead!

Old Leigh House, in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, is a care home providing support for up to six men with a learning disability and complex needs.

Service users and staff from Cygnet Hospital Ealing’s specialist eating disorder service, Sunrise Ward, have had a full timetable of events and activities this week to mark Eating Disorder Awareness Week (1st -7th March). Activities included a Skype session with author Tabitha Farrar and a showcase event where the ladies shared poems and letters.

We recognise that some members of the BAME community are hesitant and may be reluctant to have the Covid vaccine. That’s why we want to open up the conversation, listen to the concerns and share information to help people make informed choices – all spoken in the words of our own staff.

Last week it was Children's Mental Health Week (1st-7th February) and the CAMHS services at Cygnet Hospital Bury all celebrated the week with a variety of different activities based on this year's theme of 'Express Yourself'.
