Cygnet Health Care announce completion of CMA process

The last week saw a pivotal moment within Cygnet Health Care. The sale of The Limes Hospital, previously run by CAS Behavioural Health, to Elysium Healthcare was approved by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), bringing to a close the CMA process relating to the merger of Cygnet Health Care and the Adult Services Division of the Cambian Group.

On Thursday 22nd March a special lunch was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cygnet Hospital Blackheath. The lunch was well attended by service users and staff, including some team members who have moved on to other roles within Cygnet and who came back to Blackheath especially for the occasion.

First Aid qualifications for service users at Cygnet Appletree

Service users at Cygnet Appletree recently took part in a two-day First Aid at Work course. The course covered all the basic first aid techniques such as the role of the first aider, unresponsive casualty, communication and casualty care, resuscitation (adult CPR), fainting, burns and scolds.

Service users and staff at Delfryn House and Lodge recently joined forces to hold a “S.C.U.D.” day. S.C.U.D. stands for “Savour the Comic Unplug the Drama”. This is an American idea, where people are encouraged to break from their normal routine for the day.
