Cygnet's Head of Education, Ed Hall, is preparing to compete in the Marathon Des Sables, a 150 mile foot race across the Sahara desert, to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Service users at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield's Spencer Ward celebrated LGBTQ+ History month with an event at the end of February. Activities included a group reflection on 'being yourself' and a LGBTQ+ general knowledge quiz followed by a music quiz which featured songs by LGBTQ+ artists and icons.
Last week the team at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green held an open day for their Recovery College. On the day, service users and staff had the opportunity to have a look at the courses available, chat to the Recovery College lead and register interest in the courses they want to attend.

Cygnet Hospital Stevenage recently opened its very own on-site recording studio with state-of-the-art equipment and a custom built recording booth. The Cyber Saints studio is not only a place where service users can go to record songs, but to learn new skills such as music production, playing instruments and build confidence.

Our new Smoke Free policy for health care will reflect an innovative and least restrictive practice, combining access to safety tested e-cigarettes for use in inpatient bedroom areas, in addition to awareness workshops and a free app.
The team at Cygnet Appletree recently held a Staff Wellness Day to focus on staff wellbeing and what support is available to staff. All staff were given the opportunity to visit a number of stands including a physical health station, sleep hygiene station and a self-care / lifestyle station.
