Jamil Ali - Registered Manager
Jamil started his career in Health & Social Care 17 years ago and has never looked back. During his years working in care Jamil has worked with a variety of different patient and resident groups including adults with a learning disability and mental health problems, as well as working with the homeless and in a care home for the elderly.
Jamil started working at Walkern Lodge in March 2021 as a Support Worker. By October 2021 he was promoted to Deputy Manager before becoming Interim Registered Manager in 2022. During his role as Interim manager Jamil excelled in his management style, gaining CQC rating from Requires Improvement to GOOD for Walkern Lodge.
As an Interim manager Jamil made history for Walkern Lodge winning an award at Cygnet’s first ever Staff Achievement Awards in 2022 for Delivering of Excellence - Show Stopper. In October 2023 Jamil became the Registered Manager for Walkern Lodge.
In addition to his role as Registered Manager, Jamil is also Safeguarding Lead, Infection Control Lead and also Medication Champions Lead at Walkern Lodge. Under Jamil the residents at Walkern Lodge have enjoyed increased community involvement, new activities, better physical & mental health, increased family communication and involvement.
Jamil says that at Walkern Lodge “We pride ourselves to give the best quality of care to our Individuals. We do this by ensuring our Individuals are person centred and have their voice heard in all decision making”.

Olukemi (Kemi) Omotoso - Deputy Manager
Olukemi (Kemi) Omotoso started as a healthcare assistant in 2006 and has a proven record and hands on experience in caring for individuals in health care and social care sectors.
Kemi joined Cygnet in August 2020 and is a senior support worker at Walkern Lodge where she leads shifts and supports staff and residents across all levels. Kemi is also one of the Deputy safeguarding leads, seeing overall wellbeing of vulnerable individuals in our care is important.
Kemi is a team player who collaborates with other team members for optimum outcomes. She is flexible and available to support when needed. Kemi is presently studying her level 4 as Lead Practitioner in Adult Care.

Josh Wilson - Senior Support Worker
Josh started his career in the health and social care sector back in 2022 when he was a bank carer at a nursing home. This experience really opened Josh’s eyes up to the health and social care sector. During his time at the nursing home he began applying for jobs in other health and social care settings and he was successful in getting a job at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage as a theatre support worker.
Josh really enjoyed his time working there but left due to personal circumstances. In June 2024 Josh got a job as a support worker for young adults with learning disabilities and progressed really well with the company as a senior support worker. In October 2025 he was successful in his interview as a senior support worker for Cygnet Social Care at Walkern Lodge.

Folorunso (Foli) Alade - Support Worker
Foli studied to Master’s degree level in Business Administration Management in Nigeria. His interest and passion for developing a career in the health sector was from his own experience supporting his grandfather’s health needs. Foli started his care career at Truevine Creche and Mission for Help International before moving to the United Kingdom in 2023.
After initially working for a healthcare agency, Foli joined Cygnet as a bank support worker before being offered a full time role as a support worker at Walkern Lodge in October 2024. On his start at Walkern Lodge Foli said: "Working at Walkern Lodge has been a tremendous which has widened my knowledge to ensure empowerment and quality care to the vulnerable at all times.”

Ernestina (Tina) Boakye - Support Worker
Tina worked as a community health nurse in the Ghana health service for nine years. Her journey into social care began with a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, whether it is supporting individuals through challenging times or empowering them to achieve greater independence.
Tina joined Walkern Lodge in November 2024 and has received the training and support to help deliver a better resident experience. Walkern Lodge has an amazing team spirit which Tina is proud to be a part of.

Andrew Chikaura - Support Worker
Andrew started working in the care field in 2018 with an agency. Andrew worked in a variety of different settings including learning disability, mental health and housing support.
Andrew joined Walkern Lodge in 2019 and has not looked back. He enjoys inducting new staff at Walkern Lodge and is also the service’s champion for COSHH.
Andrew’s passion is for making sure that residents are having their voiced heard and being empowered.

Ivor Langley - Support Worker
Ivor has been working in care since 2015. Ivor enjoys working with the people we support by promoting their independence and making a difference in their day to day wellbeing.
Ivor enjoys the collaborative environment at Walkern Lodge which gives him the opportunity to constantly learn and grow which helps him to develop both professionally and personally.

Ronnie Matsa - Support Worker
Ronnie joined the team at Walkern Lodge in February 2025. Prior to this he has worked in different care settings since 2003. He has previously worked with, children with learning and disabilities, Autism, and adults with mental health issues. Ronnie has a level 3 social health care diploma.
Ronnie believes working in care is not for the people without a heart and care as this is not just a job but a passion to safeguard the individuals who are vulnerable and need our care and support on their day to day lives. Ronnie believes in learning from others and contributing his experience in order to provide the best care and support as a team to achieve the best outcome.

Philip Nareh - Support Worker
Philip started in the care industry in 2021 after taking care of his mother and going through personal challenges with her health.
As a support worker Philip ensures each resident is safe, well and happy. This gives Philip more motivation to work towards a better tomorrow for the resident’s well-being and making a real difference to their quality of life.

Aminat (Mimi) Sodipo - Support Worker
Mimi began her career in the healthcare sector in 2022, driven by a passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives. Over time she has had the privilege of supporting different individuals including elderly care, autism, learning disabilities and mental health. These experiences have shaped her respectful approach to care, always placing the individual in the heart of everything she does.
Mimi joined Walkern Lodge in April 2025 as a support worker where she is proud to be in a team that upholds the company’s values of person centred care, dignity and empowerment. What she loves most about working here is the supportive and inclusive environment, where each resident’s independence is our priority and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. It is a place where her passion for care truly feels at home.

Denis Zipagan - Support Worker
Denis has worked in care for over 16 years and gained a great deal of experience in the independent sector before joining Cygnet in August 2021. Denis has completed a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Denis likes his job as a support worker has he is passionate about helping vulnerable groups. He is proud to be a member of the team at Walkern Lodge and finds it fulfilling to contribute to improving the quality of life for residents and being supported by colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for the service.

Irene Zishiri - Support Worker
Irene initially joined Walkern Lodge team as a Bank Support Worker in April 2023 before becoming a full time support worker in June 2023. She has recently been appointed as the menu champion at the service.
Irene is a compassionate support worker who has a passion to provide emotional, physical and social support to individuals at the service.
