Jamie Speight - Service Manager

Jamie is a qualified learning disability nurse with over ten years experience. In 2017 she took on her first management role in healthcare before transitioning to social care in 2019 as a deputy manager. In 2020 Jamie was proud to be appointed to her first service manager role.

Jamie finds her role incredibly rewarding. Her passion is for helping people achieve their personal goals and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of those she works with at Hope House.

Richard Maw - Senior Support Worker

Richard is a Senior Support Worker at Hope House.

He started as a Support Worker at Hope House in 2017. This was his first job in care, where he grew to really enjoy the role and making a difference to the people’s lives in his care.

Richard wanted more responsibility and to make a difference to both the individuals and the staff team, so he applied for the senior post in 2020. He was happy with the support he received from Cygnet in helping him develop his skills and knowledge when caring for adults with learning disabilities, mental health and autism. He has now completed a Level 4 degree in PBS, is a certified Safety Intervention instructor and recently became the lead for reducing restrictive practices.

In his spare time, Richard enjoys playing football, swimming, playing video games and watching movies. He also enjoys learning about the changes happening within service and supporting the staff implementing the changes. He feels good knowing he is someone people can turn to.
