West Ward is a specialist mental health acute service for men, located at Cygnet Hospital Harrow in North West London.
The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for men experiencing a mental health crisis who require an emergency admission.
The ward focuses on continuous quality improvement, striving for the best outcomes for the men we support. We seek to ensure coproduction is embedded in all aspects of care and treatment.

At West Ward, we support men aged over 18 who:
- Are detained under the Mental Health Act or informal
- May have diagnoses including mental illness, personality disorder, psychosis, bi-polar disorder and / or schizophrenia
- May have complex needs including self-harm or substance misuse
