Cygnet Hospital Harrow’s Summer Fun Day
Highlights of the day included a salsa class, a henna session, and Wellbeing, Carer and Activity corners. There was also an open mic session facilitated by Key Changes Music Therapy which saw so many talented performances from both staff and service users.
One service user said: “I hate forced fun, but that was actually just fun.”
Maryanne Matthews, Ward Manager, said: “I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to plan and lead this event. I hadn’t organised an event like this before, but I was always confident knowing the team I have in my corner.
“Massive shout out to Alexandra, Amrita, Ritu, Samuel, and Uchechi who who ran our Salsa class, Henna session and Wellbeing and Activity corners. And a special thank you to Emma and Will whose behind-the-scenes support every step of the way made it all possible
“Lastly, a massive thank you to my Harrow Team who made time to set up the day and manned activities points during the event, and to everyone who showed up and embraced the day – you made it the success it was.”
