Will Anderson-White - Hospital Manager
Will joined Cygnet in 2020 as a Clinical Team Lead at Cygnet Hospital Colchester – being promoted to Learning Disabilities (LD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services manager in the same year – Will played a key role in the leadership team supporting the hospital to an improved rating with the CQC. Additionally, Will led the team to be shortlisted at the annual Royal College of Psychiatrists awards in the Psychiatric Team of the Year 2023: Intellectual Disability category where they came runners up.
In September 2023, Will moved into the Operational Improvement Lead role which provided intensive support to the clinical practices for the South region – receiving the Director of Nursing special recognition award - Outstanding contribution and achievement to service.
In July 2024, Will was successfully appointed as Hospital Manager of Cygnet Lodge Lewisham and then Hospital Manager of Cygnet Hospital Harrow in September 2025. He prides himself on being a highly motivated and compassionate leader with a keen focus on reducing restrictive practice and innovative ways of working to enhance patients recovery and experience.
Dr Azmathulla Khan - Medical Director
Dr Khan undertook general psychiatric training at St. Georges Psychiatric Training Scheme. He worked in medium secure setting for some time at Springfield hospital and then in Learning Disability Psychiatry at North London Higher Training scheme subsequently worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Barnet and Enfield NHS trust.
After working in NHS for 5 years he joined Priory hospital and worked in inpatient unit for people with Autism and Learning disabilities. He is passionate about quality improvement, recovery and involvement of service users and family in care planning and the delivery of services. He is an Approved Clinician (AC) for the purposes of the Mental Health Act 1983. He is ADOS 2 trained and is involved in Autism diagnostics assessment clinic in Harrow.
Dr Khan joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow in October 2017 as the Consultant Psychiatrist for Spring Centre and he played a pivotal role in setting up the Inpatient unit. He was appointed as Medical Director of Cygnet Hospital Harrow and Cygnet Lodge Kenton in January 2020.
Dr Khan also has longstanding academic interests in offender health, safeguarding and medico legal aspects of Learning Disability psychiatry including psychiatric defences, risk assessment and risk management. He also has special interest in Bipolar Disorder, OCD and Depression.
Tracy Tate – General Manager
Tracy joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow in May 2005. For over 10 years Tracy managed the Administration Department whilst maintaining responsibility for HR within the Hospital.
Tracy was appointed General Manager of Cygnet Hospital Harrow in July 2018 and is responsible for all non-clinical services and operations across the site.
D’Monte Watson - Clinical Service Manager
D’Monte have been working in mental health since 2003. He began as a support worker and became more and more interested in mental health, which led him to pursue a career in nursing. D’Monte qualified in 2010 and has since gained experience as a staff nurse, team leader and ward manager. He joined Cygnet Hospital Stevenage in 2019 as their low secure service ward manager. He was then appointed ward manager of Pattison Ward before moving to Cygnet Hospital Harrow in 2025 as Clinical Service Manager.
He takes pride in trying to ensure that we deliver a high standard of care for our patients and ensure that the wellbeing of our staff is maintained.
In his spare time D'Monte enjoys going to the gym, going for walks, cooking and learning about really random facts.
Alexandra Constantinescu - West Ward Manager
Alexandra joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow in 2018 as a staff nurse on the Springs Unit. Prior to joining Cygnet Health Care she worked in the NHS on female psychiatric intensive care and personality disorder units.
Alexandra was later promoted to team leader on the Springs Unit and later became Ward Manger for the Springs Wing in March 2020. In October 2022 she was appointed ward manager of Byron Ward. Alexandra has also worked as a Mental Health Nursing Lecturer at West London University teaching new, prospective nurses and associates at Level 5 and 6.
With the opening of the new PICU service in December 2024, at Harrow, Alexandra will be taking over as the Ward Manager for Roxeth Ward.
In her spare time Alexandra enjoys the outdoors, particularly hiking and skiing, but also spending time with family and travelling.
Jane Wahinya – Springs Services (Centre) Ward Manager
Jane Wahinya joined Cygnet in 2012 as a staff nurse and later was promoted to a team leader position in 2015. In 2016, Jane became the ward manager for the Springs Wing and later the ward manager for Springs Centre. In 2018 Jane received the Cygnet Hospital Harrow 'Employee of the Year' award.
Maryanne Matthews - Springs Court/EPC Ward Manager
Maryanne is the Ward Manager for the Springs Court / EPC Service. She established and developed this specialist ASD service line in 2025, following her move to London and three years with Cygnet. Maryanne is an Australian-trained nurse, originally qualifying as a General Nurse before specialising in Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing. She completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Nursing in 2021, with a specialism in education.
Maryanne has worked across all aspects of recovery-focused care and describes this as one of the most rewarding parts of her role, particularly supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals. With a strong personal interest in education, she is also passionate about developing staff and supporting them to reach their full potential.
Robert Letting - Roxeth Ward Manager
Rob Letting joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow in 2021 as a Clinical Team Leader on Springs Court (formerly known as Byron Ward). He has an extensive and varied background in mental health nursing, having worked across a range of settings including long-stay rehabilitation, personality disorder services, eating disorder units, PICU and acute wards.
In 2024, Rob was part of the team that oversaw the move to the newly refurbished West Ward, and later to Roxeth Ward. He took up the role of Acting Ward Manager on Roxeth Ward in April 2025 and, following a successful interview, was appointed permanently later that year.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and children, collecting retro video game consoles, and playing bass in a punk rock band. He is also an avid Arsenal supporter.
Michelle van Vuren - Head of Occupational Therapy
Michelle qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2011 in South Africa. She joined Cygnet Harrow in June 2022 to lead the Occupational Therapy department, having worked as an occupational therapist in vocational rehabilitation, SEN schools, and acute mental health care. She also gained experience in outdoor-based/ experiential learning with children, adolescents, and adults. Michelle is trained to conduct occupational therapy groups by using the Interactive Group Model. She is also trained in the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability model which allows her to provide therapeutic interventions through positive risk-taking.
Michelle has a passion for seeing people realise their full potential and discovering their true identities through engagement in activities. She loves travelling, ice cream, Wednesdays, and alpacas.
Matteo Parissi - Head of Psychology
Matteo is a Chartered Forensic Psychologist, and he qualified in Italy in 2016, where he gained experience across diverse populations in forensic settings, charities, and schools supporting children, adolescents, and young adults within SEN pathways.
After joining Cygnet Hospital Beckton in 2022 as Ward Psychologist for Hansa Ward, a rehabilitation service for women with Learning Disabilities, Matteo refined his expertise in clinical assessments (ADOS-2, ADI-R), therapies (DBT, EMDR), and complex risk tools (HCR-20, PARA, START), while delivering cognitive evaluations including WAIS-IV and leading all sites' Autism assessments.
Matteo broadened his expertise by expanding his clinical oversight to Acute inpatient services, while also delivering standard and adapted DBT programmes across Acute and Tier 4 Personality Disorder services as a senior DBT Consultation Team member.
Passionate about empowering others and fostering innovation, Matteo champions mentoring and high-quality supervision as core values, encouraging professional growth and team development. Matteo strengthened his organisational skills with a Distinction in UCB's Level 3 Leadership and Supervision course.
In October 2025, Matteo joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow as Head of Psychology, leading the ASD Assessment Pathway for the South region.
Afifa Ghouri - Senior Social Worker and Safeguarding Lead
Afifa joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow as a Social Worker in 2022 after completing her MA in Social Work. Since then, she has progressed to the role of Senior Social Worker and Safeguarding Lead.
Afifa is passionate about partnership working, advocacy, and collaborating with service users, families, and external stakeholders. She has also been appointed as the Carers Lead for Cygnet Hospital Harrow, where she facilitates various forums and events.
In 2024, Afifa was nominated and shortlisted for Cygnet's ‘Social Worker of the Year’ award.
Jessica Scanio - Mental Health Act Lead
Jessica Scanio joined Cygnet in 2022 after completing her degree in Psychology, beginning her career as a Support Worker. In this role, she developed a strong understanding of mental health care, service user engagement, and multidisciplinary working. In 2024, Jessica moved into the role of Mental Health Act Admin Assistant, and in 2025 she became MHA Lead. In her current role, she supports effective Mental Health Act administration, provides guidance to staff, and contributes to maintaining high standards of compliance and service user advocacy across the service.
Rose Lewis - Physical Health Nurse
Rose Lewis joined Cygnet Hospital Harrow in February 2024 as Lead Registered Nurse for Physical Health. She has successfully established and integrated physical health services within a mental health framework for all service users, supporting a holistic approach to care.
Rose brings a wealth of nursing experience, having worked extensively across both NHS and private healthcare services throughout her career. She works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including dietetics and podiatry, to ensure a seamless service and consistently champions improvements in patient outcomes.
Her responsibilities include conducting health assessments, managing chronic conditions, promoting healthy lifestyles, and training mental health staff in physical health monitoring. Outside of work, Rose enjoys photography, going to the gym, music and theatre.
Samuel Pleszak - Personal Trainer
Samuel Pleszak joined Cygnet Lodge Lewisham in 2022 and is a qualified Personal Trainer who plays a key role in promoting physical wellbeing for service users. With a background in professional sport and a Business Management degree awarded with honours, Samuel brings both practical expertise and strong leadership skills to his role.
He delivers group and one-to-one fitness sessions across hospital and community settings, supporting individuals to improve their physical health through motivation, structured goal-setting and personalised plans. Samuel has experience delivering evidence-based exercise programmes across a range of clinical settings, including PICU, acute wards and rehabilitation services.
In addition to his work with service users, Samuel manages a team of personal trainers across mental health services in London and is passionate about the role of physical activity in supporting recovery.
Era Buzhala - Quality and Compliance Manager
Era Buzhala is the Quality and Compliance Manager at Cygnet Hospital Harrow, responsible for strengthening governance systems and ensuring alignment with CQC standards. Her role focuses on overseeing quality processes, supporting services to meet regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the hospital.
With a background in Computer Science and experience spanning governance, data analysis, and project delivery, Era brings an analytical and structured approach to improving quality systems. Before stepping into her current role, she worked in the PMO as a Systems Change Implementer, where she supported digital transformation initiatives and helped redesign key operational workflows.
Era is passionate about creating safe, well-governed environments where strong systems, meaningful data, and regulatory expectations come together to support high-quality, person-centred care. Outside of work, she enjoys reading self-development books, going for daily walks, and listening to the Mel Robbins podcast.
Ritu Jhala - Office Manager
Ritu Jhala is the Office Manager and Head of Administration at Cygnet Hospital Harrow, having joined the service in 2024. She brings extensive experience from both the corporate and healthcare sectors, with strong administrative and team management expertise, as well as hands-on experience supporting busy acute and PICU units.
Her academic background includes a degree in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources and People Management, and she is a qualified CIPD Level 7 member. Since joining as Office Manager, Ritu has played an integral role in strengthening administrative systems, supporting the hospital management team, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Outside of work, Ritu enjoys travelling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Sheila Underwood - HR Administrator
Sheila Underwood joined Cygnet in 2007 as a Catering Assistant, bringing with her a background as a classically trained chef. In 2008, she transitioned into the role of Support Worker, working across the low secure unit and other Springs ASD services, later supporting teams with administrative duties and coordinating activities.
In 2013, Sheila moved into the role of General Administrator, focusing on the implementation and collation of data for CQUIN and NHS contractual arrangements, alongside payroll submissions. She was promoted to HR Administrator in 2018, where she has since contributed to a wide range of HR functions, including compliance and regulatory requirements, payroll support, recruitment and onboarding processes, and day-to-day HR support for managers and staff.
Sheila has played an active role in the continuous improvement of HR processes and has been instrumental in implementing new induction processes at Harrow. She has also completed her CIPD Level 3 in HR Support, further strengthening her professional knowledge and development in the field.
