World Diversity Day at Cygnet Hospital Woking

Earlier this week Cygnet Hospital Woking organised a lively and meaningful event to celebrate World Diversity Day, offering a fantastic chance to recognise and value the diverse cultural backgrounds within our team.

Attendees embraced the occasion’s spirit by wearing traditional cultural attire, adding extra colour and vibrancy to the event.

The lively sounds of music filled the venue. Participants danced to infectious global hits, such as “Waka Waka”, “Macarena”, and “Deewangi”.These dances not only got everyone moving but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and fun, as colleagues laughed and enjoyed the shared experience.

Kirti Paik, Clinical Practice Educator and Multicultural Network Lead said: “Special thanks to Kevin and the kitchen team for preparing Jollof rice, jerk chicken, and fish for all the staff members and service users.

“Ultimately, the World Diversity Day celebration was an inspiring and joyful event that fostered unity in diversity. It embodied the spirit of togetherness that characterises our community, leaving participants with a deeper appreciation for the various cultures enriching our shared workplace. Everyone left with full hearts, having built new friendships and gained a renewed pride in the diverse fabric that makes our service a truly unique place to work.”
