The Circus Comes to Cygnet Storthfield House

Staff and service users worked together to transform Cygnet Storthfield House into a world of wonder for a circus-themed summer party.

Rebecca Fisher, Occupational Therapy Assistant at Cygnet Storthfield House, reflected on the success of the celebration. “Our party was an opportunity to engage our minds and boost our spirits. It was packed with interactive activities that brought laughter, teamwork and new skills to our service,” she explained.

“Our service users showed incredible enthusiasm, and this fostered a sense of community between them and staff.”

The fun-filled party saw service users try their hand at a variety of circus-themed skills, like juggling, as well as get competitive in a series of classic carnival games. Partygoers could also relax under the homemade circus tent and cool off with an ice cream or tuck into the tasty BBQ.

Service users praised the circus party for being “good and inclusive”, which has only inspired the Cygnet Health Care service to create more unique events for everyone to get involved in.
