Sowing Success at Cygnet Sherwood Lodge

Service users have been working hard each week to maintain their thriving vegetable garden, taking part in every stage of the growing process, from planting and watering to weeding and general upkeep.

The garden is producing a range of vegetables, including onions, garlic, tomatoes, peppers and chillies. As well as promoting wellbeing, teamwork and the development of practical skills, the project is giving everyone the opportunity to see the results of their hard work throughout the growing season.

The produce harvested from the garden will be used to make homemade chutneys, which will be available to purchase at the service’s upcoming Christmas market.

The project has been a fantastic way for service users to engage in meaningful activity, learn new skills and work together towards a shared goal.
