Service user at Cygnet Brunel raises over £1k with charity headshave
David, a service user at Cygnet Brunel, our 32 bed service providing neuropsychiatric service in Bristol for men with mental health difficulties and acquired brain injuries, has raised over £1,000 for the London Air Ambulance after a charity headshave.
After the London Air Ambulance gave him life-saving treatment, David was determined to raise funds for the charity as a way of giving back saying: “I shaved my hair for the Air Ambulance because they saved my life. I wanted to raise funds so they could keep operating.”
The hair that David had shaved off was donated to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer.
David surpassed his initial fundraising target of £1,000. Well done David, from all of us at Cygnet!
