Promoting Freedom to Speak Up at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield
An event promoting Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) was recently held at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield.
The event was strategically located in the hospital’s ‘highest-traffic’ areas, and it was a great success.
Activities at the event included FTSU quiz games, staff pledges, information leaflets, conversations about raising concerns and dispelling common misconceptions.
FTSU ambassadors, dressed as superheroes, engaged with attendees, and there was a lot of participation in fancy dress, which helped with engagement.
Ryan, Deputy FTSU Guardian, was present and took part in the event, including a ward walk-around and a drop-in session for staff to meet the FTSU team. Over 30 pledges to Speak Up were made, more than 50 leaflets were distributed, and about 100 staff engaged in discussions about Freedom to Speak Up.
