Pride Month at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone
Cygnet Hospital Maidstone celebrated Pride Month with a special day of fun activities, fancy dress and fabulous food.
Staff and service users took part in a range of activities, including karaoke and a temporary tattoo station, alongside a selection of food such as fruit platters, pizzas and pasta salads.
Mariana Torres, Recovery College Lead, said: “At Cygnet Hospital Maidstone, we celebrated Pride to honour the LGBTQ+ community’s history and to increase visibility and awareness. Rain or shine, wind or calm, celebrating who we are is always worth it.
“This celebration helps create an inclusive environment where both service users and staff feel supported, valued, and safe to be their authentic selves without fear of judgement or discrimination, which is vital for positive mental wellbeing.”
