Old Leigh House’s trip to the Capital

The people we support at Old Leigh House enjoyed a memorable day in London, visiting historical sites and the main attractions.

They began in the heart of Covent Garden, taking in the lively atmosphere of the market and the impressive talents of the local street performers.

For lunch, they visited The Wellington, indulging in a traditional British meal of pie and mash. The highlight of the afternoon was a flight on the London Eye; the people we support were captivated by the breath-taking scenery, describing the experience as having a true “wow factor.”

After a quick refreshment break at a local café, they headed to The Post Building to visit the stunning rooftop garden, offering a unique perspective of the city skyline. We concluded our journey at the British Museum, stepping back in time to explore historical treasures.

Activity Coordinator Joanna Furtak said: “It was a wonderful day, and our residents are already asking when we can return to the capital!”
