Nightingale play tennis for the Mayor
Residents at Nightingale regularly attend a local tennis club and recently had the opportunity to showcase their tennis skills in front of the Mayor of Bournemouth, George Farquhar, who had come along to support the local community group.
Residents were able to show him what they had been learning and to demonstrate their competitive abilities. The Mayor joined in with the fun by throwing in balls for residents to hit, and presented a cake which was given out as a reward to all of those who participated! Participants were also rewarded with medals for joining in and had the opportunity to get their pictures taken with the Mayor.
One resident said “It was really fun!” and another said, “I liked playing tennis for the Mayor”.
