Nigerian Independence Day Celebration at Cygnet Brunel
The event, coordinated by Multicultural Network Ambassador Jogzie, included the Nigerian national anthem, reflections on unity and compassionate care, alongside drama performances and singing. The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cutting of an independence cake.
Staff from diverse backgrounds came together in solidarity, which created opportunities for cultural sharing and understanding within the service. The atmosphere reflected the vibrant traditions of Nigerian Independence Day through music, performances and shared experiences.
Jogzie said: “We hope this celebration inspires continued efforts to embed multicultural engagement into our clinical settings.”
Events like these support our commitment to recognising and celebrating the diverse cultures within our community, creating inclusive environments where everyone’s heritage is valued and respected.
