Name the Dragon competition at Cygnet Views

The team at Cygnet Views are fundraising this year for the amazing Footprints Conductive Education Centre. The team were delighted to recently receive a little dragon from Footprints as their fundraising mascot! The Views team intend to take him along on all of their fundraising adventures throughout the year.

However, he was lacking a name when he arrived at the Views and the team took this as another opportunity to fundraise and so held a ‘name the dragon’ competition. The competition was supported by the Red Lion in Matlock, who kindly agreed to donate two carvery meals to the winning entry.

Staff and service users paid £2 to add their favourite name to the fundraising jar and to be in with a shot of winning two meals. Service users were able to choose a staff member, peer, family member or friend of their choice to take along with them if they won! The winning name of ‘Deano’ was drawn by a service user.

Congratulations to the lucky winner who has opted to take a peer along with them for a delicious carvery at the Red Lion!

The competition has raised over £60 for Footprints Conductive Education Centre, which takes the total funds raised so far this year to £747.10.
