Multicultural event at Willow House
Willow House, our residential service in Edgbaston, recently held a multicultural event with a Black History Month theme. Multiple staff members from different ethnic backgrounds brought in food to represent their cultures, including dishes from Jamaica and different countries in Africa. As Willow House celebrates all cultures, staff of South Asian, Hispanic, Arab and Chinese descent also made the effort to bring in some delicious food from their respective cultures.
Staff also took part in a quiz on black history and enjoyed team building exercises. Shukri Ali, Service Manager, said “The event came together brilliantly with all of our staff wearing their cultural attire showcasing beautiful clothing.”
