Holi Festival Celebrations at Kirkside
Kirkside House and Lodge marked the Holi Festival with a delicious food, traditional music and colourful powder throwing.
The homemade lunch included spiced patties, salads and bhajis, followed by traditional music, dancing and colourful powder throwing. Staff and service users also created a bright collage of handprints to commemorate the occasion.
Holi, known as the Festival of Colours, celebrates love, renewal and the triumph of good over evil.
Home Manager Laura Storey said: “It was lovely to see the people who work and live at Kirkside learning and laughing together. It was a true celebration, and it’s always fantastic when staff share their culture and heritage with us.”
