From Old Leigh House to Beaney House
Old Leigh House residents had a real treat when Activity Coordinator Joanna Furtak arranged a day trip to Canterbury to visit the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.
On arrival they walked through the bustling streets of the city and it wasn’t long before they caught sight of the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral.
The group walked along the flower-lined river and had lunch and coffee on the way. They entered the museum and were guided towards the fascinating exhibits and installations, which include early TV toy characters such as Bagpuss and the Clangers.
Everybody agreed that this was a fun and worthwhile day out.
