Football Fundraising Fun at Cygnet Maple House
Cygnet Maple House held its first fundraising football match recently. Two teams went head to head to see who would be crowned champions – Team ‘Service Users’ won the title!
The teams were Management, Maintenance, Support Staff, Student Nurses and Service Users. The fans lined up and our very own Pearl took lead as the match referee, though potential training was identified.
There was a BBQ lunch and music, giving the day a real summer party vibe.
One of the people we support said: “It was absolutely fabulous watching the staff come together for a game of football, really funny at times and made me realise the staff like to have fun just as much as we do.”
The game was another part of Team Maple House’s fundraising efforts for their charity of year 4Louis. The match raised £51.10 and has taken the total fundraising to over £1500.
