Cygnet Views celebrates International Women’s Day
The team at Cygnet Views celebrated International Women’s Day in style on Friday. All staff and service users were asked to name a woman who is inspirational to them, and photographs of these women were displayed around the service; including historical women who have campaigned and made political, cultural and economic changes for women and towards gender equality. This evoked lots of positive conversations and education for service users around iconic women in history. All staff and service users were asked to dress in “whatever makes them feel fabulous” and there was a buffet, karaoke and a disco. The service users loved the ‘International Women’s Day’ photo booth and had photographs striking the #InspireInclusion pose, which is a pose symbol of solidarity.
