Cygnet Views celebrate Autism Acceptance Month
Cygnet Views recently held an event to celebrate Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month!
The day was filled with bright and colourful decorations, there were different activities such as quizzes and tasting different foods with different textures and tastes which was carried out by Team Leader Nicole Milner and Staff Nurse Gemma Harris.
All service users received a small gift bag which were filled with; odd socks, bracelets, fidget toys and pin badges!
Around the unit were posters which showed different celebrities who have autism and how they have adapted to their diagnosis of autism such as Susan Boyle, Anthony Hopkins and Sia.
Kitchen staff, Jess Gulley, made some tasty cupcakes which had colourful rice paper decorations on for Autism Awareness and made a tasty buffet which all staff and service users enjoyed!
