Cygnet Sedgley celebrate International Nurses Day
The team at Cygnet Sedgley celebrated International Nurses Day with food, drinks, poems and testimonies.
The highlights were:
- RMN Sithandile Mwetwa shared a touching poem about what Nurses do.
- Acting Head of Care shared why she joined the Nursing.
- RMN Nelly Nyakudya shared a touching story about her journey into Nursing.
- RGN Cynthia Neta poured out her passion for Nursing and how she had to toss a coin to decide whether to be RMN or RGN.
- Support worker Rita Chavula who is also aspiring to be a nurse.
- Psychologist Declan Campbell who shared that nurses are kind and compassionate.
- Dr Tobe who drew laughter when he mentioned that nurses are more compassionate than doctors.
A special thanks to hospital manager Jessica Skinner who provided a generous budget for all the resouces and Head of Care, Everton Kanyayi, for an emotional poem and leading the deliberations.
