Cygnet Hospital Bierley’s Magical Christmas Market
There were a number of stalls, including food traditionally served at Christmas markets. The firm favourite were the Yorkshire pudding wrap, pigs in blankets and dipping pots of gravy.
There were luxury drink stalls, mulled wine, cakes, cheeseboards and a crepe and waffle station. They also had a Secret Santa stall where service users chose a gift for their peer to be wrapped and given on Christmas Day.
They also had a special return visit from two lovely donkeys who enjoyed being fussed over and fed by all.
Michelle O’Neill, Regulatory Compliance and Improvement Manager, said: “It was a lovely day and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. There was a special attendance from Liam, our Regional Quality Manager, as well as the Host Commissioner and neighbouring commissioners, a number of family members, advocates and pharmacists for the service.
“It was lovely that so many could share the day with us alongside our service users and staff. Each year the market is bigger and more magical, providing positive experiences for our service users which is the heart of what we do.”
