Chinese New Year celebrations at Cygnet Hospital Ealing
Cygnet Hospital Ealing embraced Chinese New Year with a week of creative preparation and a full day of celebrations.
The people we support made lanterns and decorations to brighten the reception and dining area.
On the day, service users from New Dawn Ward handed out traditional lucky packets containing chocolate coins, fortune messages and guides on how to say simple Chinese greetings. The catering team prepared a delicious Chinese‑themed lunch, and the afternoon featured craft sessions including fan‑painting and calligraphy, ran by the Occupational Therapy and Psychology teams.
