It’s been a busy week at Ranaich house, where residents and staff have been enjoying Scottish Learning Disability week. This year the event has a focus on human rights.

To celebrate this occasion, Elms held a birthday party enjoyed by service users and staff alike.

Residents at Ellen Mhor have been preparing for a grand opening of their brand new sensory garden. The specialist residential service in Dundee has been working hard over the last few months to plan, create and build a new garden for residents to enjoy and relax in.

Cygnet Hospital Maidstone have recently launched a brand new music room for service users to enjoy. The development of the music room came about as a response to a service user survey.
The Occupational Therapy team at Cygnet Derby recently arranged a Safari Day for all service users. They welcomed skunks, lizards, bunnies, birds and cockroaches to the hospital who were warmly welcomed by service users and staff who were extremely excited for their arrival.
Residents at Thistle recently got a great opportunity to attend swimming lessons at Perth Leisure Pool. The staff have kindly offered to close the pool for an hour on a Wednesday afternoon, especially for the residents.
The team at Cygnet Fountains have been working with Lancashire Wildlife Trust on an exciting new project which will see new life blossom in Witton Park’s long-forgotten greenhouses.
