We are delighted to announce that Sue Copstick has been appointed as Cygnet’s Neuropsychology Lead. She will also be developing and delivering Neuropsychology provision within two of Cygnet’s newest Neuropsychiatric services; Cygnet Pindar House in Yorkshire and Cygnet Newham House in the North-East.
Cygnet’s Specialist Trainer and Learning and Development Project Manager, Adrian Ashurst, reaches a personal milestone this week, as it was 50 years ago, on January 4th 1971, when he commenced his registered nurse training at Salford Royal Hospital.
Our Great Cygnet Christmas Cake off competition has now ended and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of entries. Staff and service users have created some truly amazing cake creations, so a huge thank you to everyone who entered.
Well done to the team at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke who have collected 600 items, including food, bedding and clothes, to donate to a local foodbank and to homeless charity 'Somewhere to Go.'
We are delighted to announce that Meadows Mews, our enhanced community residential service for men with neuropsychiatric or neurodegenerative conditions in the West Midlands, has successfully gained Approved Provider accreditation with Headway, the Brain Injury Association.
On the 1st December, Cygnet Brunel launched its 25 days of Christmas, with activities or events set out across the 25 days to Christmas for service users and staff to enjoy together.
The team at Cygnet Aspen House, supported by other Cygnet services in the East Midlands and Yorkshire, have raised over £1700 for a local social enterprise, Food Aware.
Steven, a resident at Ranaich House in Dunblane, has raised over £160 for his local NHS hospital by making and selling Christmas cards.
Over 12 days in December we will be introducing the Cygnet Characters of Care. We are launching them this Christmas to celebrate the qualities we have in common across our workforce that help to motivate, inspire and keep each other going, especially through the toughest times.
In September we asked our service users and residents from around the country to get into the festive spirit and enter the 2020 Cygnet Christmas Card Competition. We received over 100 fantastic entries and we are now pleased to announce the three winners.
The 2021 Cygnet Desktop Calendar is now available! The calendar features 21 pieces of fantastic artwork from service users and residents from across the country.
