Cygnet Hospital Maidstone have recently launched a brand new music room for service users to enjoy. The development of the music room came about as a response to a service user survey.
The Occupational Therapy team at Cygnet Derby recently arranged a Safari Day for all service users. They welcomed skunks, lizards, bunnies, birds and cockroaches to the hospital who were warmly welcomed by service users and staff who were extremely excited for their arrival.

An Occupational Therapist at Cygnet Delfryn House in Flintshire has been delivering a series of webinars and events for over 200 schools across the UK to encourage young people to find out more about working in the mental health sector.
We recently launched our search to find a team of service users to support us plan the 10th Annual National Service User Awards. We advertised across Cygnet Health Care for team members who were keen to work as part of a team and share their skills.
On 25th March, Kerry Booth, Head Occupational Therapist, and Abigail Roberts, Occupational Therapist, at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield hosted two virtual quizzes to support the people and animals of Ukraine. A grand total of £3850 was raised which will be split between two charities; Red Cross Disasters Emergency Committee and Ugolyok.
As many health care services will know, it can be tricky communicating and handing over information or updates to both service users and staff. Cygnet Hospital Bierley have been working on a new initiative to improve communication.
