Jackie Ewington - Hospital Manager

Jackie is a Registered Mental Health Nurse who gained over 20 years experience in the NHS prior to joining Cygnet in 2019 as the Registered Manager of Cygnet Pindar House.

Jackie enjoys promoting and supporting continuous training and professional development for the clinical team at Pindar House and has a Graduate Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong learning sector. She has experience in all types of Mental Health care provision, working within the forensic division in a nursing and a managerial capacity for 17 years. As a published author, Jackie has written a chapter in an international book which highlights best practices for reducing the use of coercive measures within forensic mental health services and co-authored the Positive and Safe Violence Reduction Manual which was a collaboration between the High Secure Services in England and Scotland; this was medically, legally and ethically approved by professional experts and endorsed by NICE.

Jackie particularly enjoys the Registered Manager role and the challenges and successes of rehabilitating people who have complex needs and challenging presentations. The team at Maple House have a wealth of knowledge, skills and experiences that they utilise to provide a wonderful, inclusive environment and care pathways to maximise each individual’s potential and abilities. There is welcoming, happy and caring atmosphere, within a beautiful village setting which creates the optimum environment for rehabilitation to take place.

Dr Reema Chatterjee - Responsible Clinician

Dr Reema Chatterjee is a consultant adult psychiatrist with significant experience in the field over the last 25 years. Dr Chatterjee began her career in psychiatry training at the prestigious King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. She qualified as a consultant psychiatrist in 2002 and entered private practice in Mumbai and gained experience in a number of psychiatric conditions treating people of different cultures nationally and internationally. This experience served her well and she then worked in the Sultanate of Brunei.

Dr Chatterjee arrived in the UK in 2005 and completed her training in the East Midlands deanery. She has experience in treatment and management of patients on acute wards , intensive care unit , day hospital and substance misuse teams.

Dr Chatterjee is a keen proponent of training and is a much sought after supervisor by trainees, both medical and ACP. Apart from English, she speaks Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Bahasa Malayu. She is currently acquiring proficiency in dialect Arabic. She has a keen interest in music and attends gigs wherever possible.

Dr Beth Harrison - Forensic Psychologist

Beth completed her doctoral training in Forensic Psychology at the University of Nottingham. She has worked across various settings, including both NHS and private secure hospitals, rehabilitation settings and residential services. She has experience in working with a range of different client groups, including with adult men and women who present with personality difficulties, mental illness, autism spectrum disorder and learning disability.

Beth has worked for Cygnet Health Care for several years, where she has gained additional skills and knowledge, all of which has furthered her passion and commitment to her role as a psychologist. She was appointed as psychologist for Cygnet Maple House, a newly established rehabilitation service for women with personality difficulties and complex needs, which she commenced in August 2023. She works alongside a full-time Assistant Psychologist, and is very passionate about developing and upskilling the next generation of psychologists and practitioners.

Beth promotes compassionate and trauma-informed approaches to the care and treatment provided by the psychology department and the wider staff team. Beth is also passionate about service development and co-production, encouraging service users to share their story, whilst empowering them, and developing their skills to lead positive and successful lives in future.

Adam Robinson - Occupational Therapist

Adam has been a qualified Occupational Therapist for 13 years. During this time Adam has worked across many Cygnet sites and service lines including male mental health, community mental health, female personality disorder and secure forensic male personality disorder services. Adam is a Regional Lead Occupational Therapist. Adam is trained in use of the MOHO and VdT MOCA clinical models as well as DBT.

A service user from Cygnet Maple House, who has been in mental health services since she was 13, is now giving talks at Nottingham Trent University where she is helping trainee medics understand how best to support those with severe mental health needs.
