Acer Upper – Acute Service for Women

Gender: Female

Age: 18+

Beds: 14

Acer Upper at Cygnet Acer Clinic is a 14 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

The ethos of this service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community.

“The staff collectively are amazing, you feel genuinely inspired and cared for in ways which words can’t describe. I’m so grateful that this place and the staff in it exist. True life-savers. A million times THANK YOU!”Service user
